Quiet Sunday Morning

Sitting here, I'm the only one awake so far and I'm just enjoying the house to myself. It got chilly again last night, and I'm hoping that this cold stuff goes away pretty damn soon. I'm ready for complete springtime!

I had a dream the other night about dad that I couldn't shake off. It wasn't bad or anything, in fact is was very comforting. It stayed with me all night and all yesterday, so I finally called mom and asked if there was something I was missing, something real going on that perhaps would account for this. There wasn't anything tangible, but she and I came to the conclusion it was just dad trying to say it was alright, everything is ok. The dream was all about me trying to take care of him, to comfort him and just be there for him.It was so warm and good feeling and I just could feel dad around me, knowing that he's ok, and knowing especially that he never blamed me for not being there.

Sometimes it gets to me how much I miss him, even more than I thought I would. Its hard not being able to tell him everything thats going on in my life, not being able to listen to him, just to hear his voice.
